Maryam Mahdavi is considered a pioneer of fashion design in Iran. With a thirty year career behind her, Maryam has extensive first-hand experience in the field. Her designs have established trends and also inspired younger designers to follow her lead. What sets Maryam’s designs apart from other designers is that her inspiration comes from garments worn by Iranian tribes, provincial costumes and typical old Iranian dress. Though these traditional designs inspire her initially, she modernizes them by adding highly stylized cuts, shapes, and color patterns so that they no longer resemble their traditional roots but become her original creations.
The color scheme is inspired by the colors Maryam usually has in her designs.

The pattern is inspired by Iranian Traditional Textile Designs which are finalized as repeatable Pixel Art.
